Dr. John C. Wright (M.A., Ph.D., Miami University, 1972, ‘76) holds the position of Professor Emeritus of Psychology. His specialty area is Applied Animal Behavior. Dr. Wright is a member of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society (1977); a Charter Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science (1988); and an ABS Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist (CAAB, 1991). He is co-founder and co-director of the Interdisciplinary Forum for Applied Animal Behavior (IFAAB,1999). Dr. Wright’s research interests include the assessment and treatment of emotional behavior problems in dogs and cats, and the identification of factors that contribute to serious dog and cat behavior problems. He continues to help families resolve their pets’ misbehaviors through his veterinary referral, “house-calls” practice in greater Atlanta (See Practice below).
