Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC)
Message from the Professor of Military Science
Thank you for visiting the Mercer University ROTC website! Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) prepares college students to succeed in any competitive environment. For over 100 years, ROTC has been instilling values in our future nation’s leaders. The leadership training and experiences that students have in Army ROTC provides them with a foundation to become a commissioned Army Officer upon graduation. ROTC, a college elective, for undergraduate and graduate students provides unrivalled leadership training for success in any career field. If you have a passion for it, you can find a place to fit in the Army as an officer and get the training you need to turn that passion into a career.
Whether it's in the classroom, or at events like the Army Ten-Miler in Washington DC, Ranger Challenge at Fort Knox, KY, visiting the beaches of Normandy, France, or supporting Wounded Warriors, our Cadets are getting out there and practicing their leadership. Mercer University ROTC strives to give you a strong, basic foundation that you can use to create your future success. ROTC is only for those men and women who are serious about a service career in the military as an Army Officer and have a passion for leading our future generation of soldiers. After commissioning at Mercer, you start serving your country in the United States Army, the National Guard or Army Reserves. As a Commissioned Officer, you will have the opportunity to perform duties in a wide variety of careers and specialties.
